Sometimes completely phantasmagoric situations occur. There is operation going actively, and suddenly cows cross formation. Children come to soldiers, with curiousity they look at weapons and equipment.
Women try to pass through cordon, and if they aren't let go in, then nothing serious, they wait. Right there. Male population squats and watches our job. Sometimes they help with advice, sometimes they swear at us.
You are lying safeguarding, cat comes to you and starts rubbing against your face, climbs your back and curls up…
All this makes impression of unreality of what's going around, like you are in frontier — here is war, there is peaceful life. It's unclear where the border goes…

HardIngush: Well, you can't tell cows what to do. It's easier to let them pass. And you can't do anything to kids. You tell him — go away, but he stands smiling and doesn't go away. And what can you do to him especially when he is looking from gates — he is in his own yard. And it's not clear where are his parents. I always take some candy with me, with its help you can always negotiate :)))

Who is snitch and squaler and what is difference from a man who confidentially assists law-enforcement authorities? Snitch and squaler transfers information for his own sake resolving his own issues or receiving pleasure of his secret opportunity to influence the events. Good confidential source makes his own aim to fulfill socially useful objectives — protect his own nation from bandits, stop an act of terrorism, don't let corrupt official steal money from people. He is concerned not about himself, but about others. And he risks his life for his nation. And that's a difference.

HardIngush: I don't know… They are regular people. They want to live normally as well as the rest of people. They have same troubles and problems as others, well, except for terrorism and banditry. I don't see any point to present them in some special way. Concerns about their public image is Ingushs' own business. Emphasizing ethnic flavor, telling in some colorful way about themselves makes sense only if you want people to come to you. And locals don't want to lure tourists. Also tourist infrastructure isn't really well-developed here.
Q: What is your reaction to civillians shooting you using cellphones?
HardIngush: Negative. It can be curious person, it can be accomplice who films tactics of action for analysing by bandits and planning deversions.
Don't be surprised if you will be detained and asked what reason you were filming with.
